Green cancels D.C. trip to avoid having Sylvia Luke fill in as governor

Gov. Josh Green has canceled his upcoming plans to travel to Washington, D.C., for the annual National Governors Association’s Winter Meeting to avoid having Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke fill in for him as acting governor after she acknowledged Monday that she may be the “influential state legislator” who is being investigated for allegedly accepted $35,000 in a bag in 2022.
