Hawaii company recalls mislabeled cookies, wafers

Hawaii Candy, Inc. issued a voluntary recall of products that were mislabeled in violation of Department of Health regulations.

The product packaging failed to list one ingredient: Yellow #6 which can cause problems for people who are allergic to the ingredient.

The following products are being recalled:

Hawaii Candy Fortune Cookies UPC 073366-12950

Hawaii Candy Petite Wafers UPC 073366-12952

Hawaii Candy Sesame Wafers UPC 073366-12954

Hawaii Candy Ginger Wafers UPC 073366-12955

Hawaii Candy, Inc. began shipping the mislabeled products on October 4, 2011. On October 28, 2011, their representatives were sent to stores on Oahu to put a yellow #6 declaration on the packages.
