High surf warning in effect; surf up to 35 feet expected on north shores

An extra-large northwest swell is driving a high surf warning through Tuesday for north and west shores across much of the state as a cold front brings cooler air, breezy winds and periods of rain today, followed by another unsettled round of weather midweek.
