Jurors considering evidence in deadly Chinatown shooting

Deputy Prosecutor Mark Shimizu told Oahu Circuit Court jurors in closing arguments Monday that while much of the state’s evidence was circumstantial, they had all the pertinent information on a 2022 shooting in Chinatown to convict Samuel Carter of the second-degree attempted murder of Michael Yonenaga and second-degree murder of a 24-year-old pregnant woman.
