Jury returns swift guilty verdict in Ramsey’s double-murder trial

An Oahu Circuit Court jury rejected defense claims that a former Schofield Barracks soldier was experiencing extreme mental or emotional distress when he fatally stabbed his 23-year-old girlfriend Kayla Holder and their 6-month-old son in their Ewa Beach studio apartment in March 2020, finding Kendall R. Ramsey guilty of first-degree murder Friday.
