A kayaker was rescued Saturday evening after running into trouble in waters off the northwest coast of Molokai.
According to the Coast Guard a kayaker, using a VHF radio, called to report that one of the kayaks in his group was getting swamped with water while the other was getting swept out to sea.
A Coast Guard was able to locate one of the kayakers and airlifted him safely to shore.
The other three kayakers were located safely ashore by members of the Maui County Police Department.
