Question: I have a handicap parking placard. I forgot to hang it once and wow, are there ever repercussions! The fine is very high and if you want to fight it, you have to go to court and apologize and plead that you just forgot. For a kupuna already with a disability this is very difficult. I do understand the importance of making sure to show I have the pass, however, in this day and age, with AI and high tech, can your pass not be linked to your license plate or to your vehicle somehow, or your driver’s license via your license plate? That way, the parking patrol can just scan your license plate and see you have a pass?
