Latest episode of lava fountaining at Kilauea is short-lived

‘Spectacular” — and spectacularly brief — is how Sarah Williams, front desk receptionist at Volcano House in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, described the latest episode of the Kilauea summit eruption that sputtered out at 7:41 p.m. Thursday after 8-1/2 hours of continuous lava fountaining.
