Letter: Adopt more stringent motorcycle safety laws

Statistical data clearly demonstrates that both seat belts and helmets save lives, raising the question of why public safety laws do not enforce both with equal rigor. The lack of universal helmet mandates leaves motorcycle/moped operators — and their passengers — unnecessarily vulnerable to fatal head injuries.
