Letter: Calling out candidates for ignoring sea change

Two major candidates are ignoring the sea change in awareness that led thousands across the state this year to show up at rallies, town meetings and government offices, demanding constitutional protections be upheld and rejecting government by and for the wealthy few. Corruption is a key issue in the lieutenant governor’s race, yet candidate Derek Kawakami calls his belated return of a 2022 dirty money contribution “old news,” and says people care more about results than about corporate dark money.
