Letter: Community over cash is model for geothermal

Everything I know about geothermal I learned from my mentors Robbie Cabral and Mililani Trask, who helped draft the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People. Trask taught me that, by law, Native Hawaiians and the public own our geothermal resources. Cabral taught me that economic sovereignty helps Native Hawaiians recover some measure of what was taken through colonization and the illegal seizure of crown lands.
