This is regarding the Aug. 25 letter, “Burying power lines is worth the big expense.” Burying lines would entail digging up and repaving about 2,400 roads on Oahu. Would we taxpayers pay for this public works cost? We must also consider the traffic gridlock of blocked roads, with gas wasted, appointments missed and lost work time that would last for 10 or 20 years. Massive amounts of money overall, capped with countless hours of personal aggravation.
