Letter: Cultural Plaza least of Chinatown’s worries

Your recent editorial, “Taiwan must fix bad Cultural Plaza,” was slanted and failed to mention the other three-quarters of Chinatown (Star-Advertiser, Our View, Feb. 11). I agree Taiwan’s government is to be blamed for the lack of stewardship. However, lets not forget Mayor Rick Blangiardi is the “slumlord” for the other three-quarters of Chinatown. His comments distract from the problem of panhandlers, homeless, drug users and prostitution that have plagued Chinatown for decades. There are buildings in poor condition and Chinatown needs public restrooms.
