Letter: Dems can spur change from grassroots efforts

Our local Democratic Party is full of talented, compassionate people, but good intentions aren’t enough if we fail to activate the broader community. Recently, we’ve struggled to cultivate trailblazers who don’t just elect candidates, but also keep our communities engaged. These are challenging times for our state, our nation and our party. The threats are real.
