Letter: Diplomacy was never an option in Iran dust-up

A recent letter laments Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu’s dismantling of the nuclear capacity of Iran through military action (“Blunders in Middle East bode poorly for America,” Star-Advertiser, June 30). It suggests that diplomacy is the way to deal with death threats against Israel and America. It applauds President Barack Obama’s diplomatic agreement with Iran. That agreement (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) provided Iran with resources to fund nefarious activities.
