Letter: Effort to restore Lahaina postal service is too late

The latest lobbying effort by Hawaii’s U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda addressing the postal nonservice of Lahaina to the postmaster general seems to be a good-faith effort (“Mail service altered for rebuilt homes in Lahaina after fire,” Star-Advertiser, Sept. 17). However, where is her counterpart, U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono, on the issue?
