Letter: Energy from sun, wind, Earth are truly endless

A previous letter writer’s irresponsible statement that “the backup currently provided by Oahu’s fossil fuel generation is effectively endless” cannot go unanswered. Does that mean fossil fuels are in endless supply? Or that Hawaii will always have unfettered access to affordable supplies? Basic analysis from trusted sources such as the U.S. Energy Information Administration shows that neither one of those interpretations is remotely true.
