Letter: Feral cats are danger to seals, must be culled

Will our acceptance of Oahu’s 300,000 feral cats beat out our desire to increase the seriously endangered population of monk seals? Currently, there are about 400 monk seals in the main Hawaiian Islands. Toxoplasmosis parasites have killed at least 15 monk seals and two spinner dolphins, and cats are the vectors of this parasite.
