Letter: Fewer wealthy in Hawaii means fewer donations

A recent column presented possible losses of revenue if we tax the ultra wealthy more because those individuals might move to a tax-free state (“State ‘millionaire tax’ might backfire,” Star-Advertiser, July 8). I have the same concerns as the writer, Jonathan Helton, and wish to add that the loss of wealthy citizens’ tax revenue will likely lead to the loss of generous donations to local charities.
