Letter: Hawaii can recover from D.C. ‘State Fair’ debacle

Shirlene Ostrov is right: By skipping the Great American State Fair during America’s 250th anniversary, Hawaii lost more than booth space (“Hawaii should have been there at Great American State Fair,” Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, July 2). It gave up a national platform to show Americans who we are.
