Letter: Hawaii should have helmet laws, they save lives

I agree with Michael Shaw of Moiliili in his plea for more stringent helmet laws (“Adopt more stringent motorcycle safety laws,” Star-Advertiser, Letters, July . Every year we spend months in Asia, especially in Vietnam and the Philippines — on the roads there, we never see motorcycle/scooter/moped riders not wearing helmets.
