Letter: Hawaiian should be taught at DOE schools

I agree. Jeffrey Young, in a letter to the editor, stated that when the Hawaiian language was declared an official language of Hawaii in the 1978 state Constitution, the Department of Education should have designed a curriculum to teach it (“All isle students should learn Hawaiian language,” Star-Advertiser, July 30). Better late than never.
