Letter: HMSA plan no-go for independent doctors

HMSA Chief Medical Officer Dr. Stefanie Park claims a vertically integrated HMSA-Hawaii Pacific Health entity would be a solution to our doctor shortage. The problem is that HMSA and HPH are committed to a primary care payment model already tried for a decade, and it required substantially higher practice costs for primary care.
