Honolulu Zoo’s accreditation extension offers no cause for celebration, as Mayor Rick Blangiardi plans to use it to bring pandas to the island as diplomatic pawns and tourist attractions (“Honolulu Zoo’s accreditation extended another 4 years,” Star-Advertiser, April 21).
