Letter: Immigrants use tenacity to assimilate, succeed

As a retired immigration lawyer, the bulk of my practice was helping foreigners enter the United States legally. I recognized that overcoming impediments to immigration, whether legal or physical, requires exceptional energy, grit and a strong work ethic — immigrant qualities that benefit America. It is no wonder that owners of businesses, from corner groceries to tech giants, are disproportionately owned or run by immigrants.
