The kyudojo proposal is being sold as some kind of serene gift to the community, but let’s be honest: Mau‘umae Nature Park is treasured precisely because it isn’t carved up into fenced facilities, classrooms, restrooms and a 19-stall parking lot (“Archery range deserves a shot,” Star-Advertiser, Our View, April 16). We’re supposed to believe this construction project somehow “enhances” a nature park.
