Letter: Learn from past, nix new military leases

Renewing military leases in Hawaii would be unjust, destructive, disrespectful and would continue to inflict intergenerational trauma, especially upon kanaka maoli. We residents of Hawaii know the difference between mindlessly adhering to the status quo and doing what is pono.
