Letter: Listen to D.C. Council, recall Hawaii Guard

Kevin Knodell’s recent article highlighted a compelling reason for Gov. Josh Green to recall Hawaii’s National Guard troops from Washington, D.C., noting the District of Columbia Council unanimously asked states to bring their troops home after July 4th (“Hawaii National Guard role in D.C. questioned,” Star-Advertiser, July 18). Several governors complied out of respect for local self-governance. Why hasn’t Gov. Green?
