I’m urging everyone to see the latest offering at Kumu KahuaTheatre, “Memory Beads,” before it ends its run this week. I went in expecting a play about Alzheimer’s, but was delighted to find it also tells a story about an Okinawan family immigrating to Hilo during WWII.
