Letter: Maunawili finally gets preservation attention

I was pleased to read that care is coming to Maunawili (“Maunawili gets protection it deserves,” Star-Advertiser, Feb. 1). Having lived in Maunawili since 1978, 45 of those years being in my home at the head of the present trail to Maunawili Falls, my concern has long been for the preservation of Kawainui Marsh and the important Maunawili Stream that feeds it.
