Letter: More resources needed to boost UH West Oahu

Mahalo for the letter, “Retooled UH can make second city a reality” (Star-Advertiser, March 12). In 2010, I met many times with Gene Awakuni, former chancellor of the University of Hawaii West Oahu, while the new campus was under construction. His vision was to create a school where West Side youth could access health careers that paid a living wage.
