Letter: No need for religious distortion at schools

I strongly disagree with a recent letter (“Bring God back into school, teach unity,” Star-Advertiser, July 5). While the Declaration of Independence does include “The Laws of Nature and Nature’s God” in its first paragraph, the second paragraph says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident.” To me, being self-evident is enough basis for those truths, without need for being endowed by any supernatural being.
