Letter: Private schools save Hawaii tax dollars

So many of you begrudge the use of any public funds to support private education, but you gladly accept the tax money saved by each child enrolled in private school and not in public school. By some estimates, the current annual cost for each student enrolled in a Hawaii public school exceeds $17,000.
