Letter: Repair Wahiawa Dam before tragic breach

Gov. Josh Green’s recent “get ready” notice for Waialua and Haleiwa, and Friday’s evacuation order, are sobering reminders of the danger sitting just uphill from our homes. While I appreciate the warning regarding a potential breach of the Wahiawa Dam, it is deeply concerning that our safety relies on infrastructure that is now 120 years old.
