Letter: Residents undertaxed to next generation’s peril

I pay about $4,300 in real property tax per year for my humble home. Someone who goes to Starbucks every day pays about half that much and all they get is coffee. When I consider all of the city services I receive — the many miles of roads I drive on, police and fire services, parks, refuse collection, emergency services, streetlights and traffic lights, etc. — the $4,300 seems way too low.
