Letter: Resist governmental violence with protests

Mahalo to Dr. Seiji Yamada for his article about what we have been supporting in Gaza. He compared Israel’s actions to the U.S. dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki (“Parallels to atomic bombing 80 years on,” Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, Aug. 6). Many thousands died in Japan and radiation effects still claim victims there, as well as in the Marshall Islands, where the bomb was infamously tested from 1946 to 1958.
