Letter: Social impact of arts is more vital than ever

Mahalo for publishing “Keeping the arts alive” (Star-Advertiser, Insight, April 5). As a practicing artist, I often engage with difficult subjects — social injustice, environmental loss and the deep concern many of us feel about today’s political climate.
