The imminent closure of Tamashiro Market brings back happy memories of watching Hari Kojima wizardly cutting fish on Bruce Carter’s “Let’s Go Fishing” with my family on a Sunday afternoon. And my elementary school excursion to learn about all the fish, crabs, lobsters and watch the skilled fishmongers scale, clean, gut and wrap the orders in pink paper. It was like the Waikiki Aquarium, but here you could touch, smell and eat the fish.
