Letter: Taxpayers are tightening belts; so should the state

Gov. Josh Green’s Feb. 15 commentary (“Protecting Hawaii’s future demands pause on tax cuts,” Star- Advertiser, Island Voices) tries to defend the vision of continued state spending in the face of federal cuts. He lays the blame on the Trump administration, former Gov. Linda Lingle and Hawaii citizens for their demands for expensive programs.
