State leaders want to glean ideas for better transit-oriented development by making off-island visits at the cost of up to $ 300,000 (“State leaders seek ideas on transit development,” Star-Advertiser, Sept. 14). That’s a lot of money, and I thought the private sector was to be consulted on future development of these areas.
