Letter: Trump Cabinet officials need to grow backbones

In a recent article, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was reported as joining Secretary of State Marco Rubio in touting Stephen Miller’s ridiculous efforts to acquire/invade Greenland (“Europe weighs its response to Trump’s new tariff threat,” Star-Advertiser, Jan. 19). Presumably, Bessent and Rubio aren’t fools. They would be wise to consider the effect of this support on their credibility.
