Letter: USAID elimination comes with untold human cost

Research published in the medical journal The Lancet estimates that 14 million people will die over the next five years due to our closure of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Trump administration was either unaware of this potential human catastrophe, ignored it or just didn’t care.
