I agree with John Burns’ letter — we should do away with vehicle safety inspections (“Yearly safety inspections unnecessary, must stop,” Star-Advertiser, July 25). But I would like to add another reason. I drive down the street, less than a mile, and can see at least five cars with expired safety stickers — some as much as a several years. I passed a commercial vehicle the other day and its safety sticker had expired four years ago.
