Maui police chief put on paid leave after FBI probe of MPD unit commander

Maui Police Department Chief John Pelletier has retained an attorney after the Maui Police Commission voted unanimously Wednesday to place him on paid leave amid an FBI investigation of the ex-commander of MPD’s Criminal Intelligence Unit.
