Affordable housing on Oahu? Good luck with that. Even though the median price for a single-family house dropped 3.9% last month compared to a year ago, that cost was still $1.11 million. Adding to the money squeeze is the rising mortgage rate: averaging about 7.49% for a 30-year mortgage, the highest since November 2023.
