Off the news: After the fire, Kunia farms need help

Brushfires erupting during high-risk hot, dry and windy weather in Kunia last month spread to Kunia Village and vicinity, wiping out 800 ag-land acres, including Ko Hana Distillers’ sugarcane field, Nalo Farms’ main lettuce field, and one small farmer’s fruit tree crop, which will take years to regrow.
