Off the news: Alaska, Hawaiian unveil rewards program

For some, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines’ new Atmos Rewards loyalty program is a blessing. Customers of both carriers are able to combine accrued miles, benefits and status into one bucket as part of rewards protections mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Hawaiian is touting Atmos as a win — one of the “big unlocks” of integrating with Alaska’s larger national network after last year’s $1.9 billion acquisition and merger.
