Off the news: Central Oahu park gets soil clearance

Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services hasn’t yet set a date for reopening a section of Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park where the city dumped tons of storm debris cleared from North Shore communities in the wake of March storms and flooding — but soil testing has cleared the way, after no harmful levels of contamination were detected.
