Off the news: Hawaii man on hook for federal fish crimes

Federal law prohibits collecting, buying, selling or possessing fish in violation of protective regulations, and breaking that law can bring a prison sentence and hefty fine. That’s the prospect an Oahu man faced this week in court after pleading guilty to selling Hawaii yellow tang and Hawaii kole tang — both illegal to catch or sell.
