For flyers, another “good old days” era comes to an end June 30, when Hawaiian Airlines will eliminate complimentary meals in its main cabin on most long-haul mainland routes. The homegrown carrier is one of the very last airlines still serving free meals in coach, and though reviews of the food are mixed — think a cheese-filled jumbo pasta shell or processed-meat sandwich — it was at least a serviceable perk that very few others offered.
